This weekend we brought the Outlaw452.com Main Event Series to Beaumont, TX to Cowboy Badlands. With another AMAZING crowd and not to mention the racing! I was impreessed one more time! The stands were full, the track was groomed perfectly (props to Vernon "V-Mac" McKiddie) and safe racing all evening and into the morning hours, Again!
The always cheerful Randy Childers was able to come and make and appearance as the JMP presented him with a $4,000 check. The look on Randy's facewas PRICELESS to say the least. He said, "I can't wait to frame this!" Well just make sure you cash it bud. We could not have asked for better racing and I'm bummed to take a weekend off but we will return to the household name, infamous Rio Bravo on October 11, Saturday evening. Se ya there!
Round 2 B&C MX Park
Cridicts keep questioning, is the track going to be in good racing condition for the second round? The answer is an undoubtably, Yes. Kevin brought his work ethic to the track when he took it over. Nothing but great racing will be happening this Saturday night, Aug 21 at B&C MX Park in Highlands, TX. But please remember sign up will begin one hour early: 2:30, practice at 4:30 and we'll drop the gate for the first moto at 6. I will be keeping the park in tune over the mic until our Houston MX voice arrives, Mr. Joe from Wild West.
Do not forget our high point award winner receives a custom LEATT Brace. See you all Saturday night
Rd 1 Outlaw452.com Main Event Series
What a race and an incredible crowd to kick-off the series. With over 400 entries, they ran out of transponders as well as entry forms. Not to mention the benefit for Randy Childers (broken C-3,4,5) thrown by the jamesmarshallproject. They even did a live auction for Trey Canard's Breast Cancer Awareness helmet. It was apparent they were not ready for such a crowd that the series drew. Not to mention all the ROCKSTAR you could drink! With over 40 entries in the 450 C class led them to force qualifing. Our first Main Event of the night was our open Pro Class with Kevin Johnson winning while "v-mac" Vernon McKiddie held on for a hard earned second place. the races were delayed a bit but our last Main Event of the night ended at 3:30AM. It has been years since we raced into the next morning, that I can remember.
Round 2 will be held at the new B&C MX Park, formally Highlands, located in Crosby, TX. They plan to start 1 hour early to prevent the late racing and keep it more safe. Sign up will start at 2:30, practice will begin at 4:30 while they'll drop the gate on the first qualifier at 6PM. I am anxious to see what The Outlaw452.com Main Event Series brings...
