I know I don't talk about training in the blog very much but it is something that has come up quite often as of late. My friend and caretaker Codi Nuñez, has been training with me the past few days and it has really opened my eyes back to the basics. We have done around a dozen to 15 hours of on/off the bike training in just a few days. In fact he arrived the day after Christmas and it's only the 29th today. I wish each rider had the same invision plus ambition to put the work in off the motorcycle like he does and if so, we'd have a higher steeper climbing rate through the amateurs and on into the Pro's. Though I know it is not the same with each rider so I guess I just have to mix it up to make it fun.
Each rider of course is different like every person. But when a rider feeds off pushing his limits and pushing through pain is easy to wake up to coaching everyday. And I enjoy watching and coaching an individual like this. Someone that wants to get help or begging for help is someone you want to help.
Everyday is a new day. That's how a person in my position has to approach life. So, having him here to take care of me makes it a privilege to go through what I go through each day. His attitude and is energy wears off into the air and is a great feeling! It is harder to find this then it may seem to some… (The government gives me less than minimum wage per hour to pay a caretaker). Sorta sucks.. but oh well.
But, we wake up and we train every single day! It was a Christmas gift I did not expect. Thank you Codi and I really cannot describe through the words in my vocabulary to thank you to say Exactly how grateful I really am.
But Codi did get to talk to Trey Canard this evening! Thank you Turbo!!
Christmas makes things seem like Anaheim 1. We all get big gifts for Ur loved ones Then wait for December 25. The anticipation builds and builds and builds their conversation and other social communication. We joke, we tease hassle each other around but then we get to see exactly what is inside the box come this day. And not to mention Santa!! My favorite!
Each year it seems to have a different touch to me. I only believe that it is through maturity and just straight life experience. This year nonetheless broke them all again!! The things that touch me inside my words cannot describe.
I am thrilled to see what '13 will unfold!! I feel things can either go my way If I wanted it to or I could throw it away just like that… As if I were riding for Mitch Peytons team and not training off the motorcycle. But I feel things are going uphill fast for me!! Sometimes it almost seems like it's too much to handle! But Christmas silly things a big fun loving enjoyable anticipation two wards this great day that we all celebrate with our families and then we can focus towards the following year.
Now that Christmas is pretty much wrapped up, I laid down a happy man tonight! Fresh bill skinny pants first Vans shirt too!! Wooo!! Merry Christmas to everyone.
So one day I was looking at the website and decided it was about time to make a change. I didn't know where to start but I just designed a new logo and I thought it was pretty cool so… I initially started there.
There's been a lot of things going on not only in my life but everyone else's around me. The only thing about my website is it doesn't show what is going on in my life as of today. I want people to see what I did yesterday when they come to outlaw452.com. I felt I was missing a big gap of key advertisement and ultimately just letting everyone know that my life is getting better with time and how grateful I am to even be in this position or have this opportunity. So I wanted to break a big change in something that people would instantly notice.
Since the website was developed I have been a different person since that. Things change and that includes everyday life as well. My health has gotten progressively better and now the website actually shows that. I have also done numerous training sessions whether they be groups sessions or private lessons, Has taken on a few athletes to work with full-time etc. etc. I also did a ride school with Blake Wharton That ended up being very successful in there is actually a video of the class at the bottom of the homepage.
So here is a little bit of the up today! It is not everything and of course I know that and I wish I could make it that way but this will definitely get you back up to speed of where James Marshall was in 2006 and where he is at at the End of 2012.
And I know there is a new year with no ceilings and am excited to reach for the sky!…here we go
One of the most Important Riders (I've had an extremely painful day due to the weather) I failed to mention is My Man, Garrett "Grapes" Lipps. This kid is one of the most important reasons we stood 4th overall in the Non-Franchise division. He is Killing it in his 85 division for Outlaw452/Drenaline Cycles Racing Team.
You're "The Man Grapes!" Couldn't Done this without you Sir!! jm
Was our line up for this years 2012 U.S. Dealers Challenge presented by Gullo Scion at 3 Palms. Though we were behind the 8 ball a bit, our perseverance and determination brought us to a 4th place in the Non-Franchise division. Which the rules bring a huge roll to the choosing which rider in each class. A "rolling the dice" if you will. We had Greg Howard Shredding an '81 Suzuki in the Over 50! We had as much fun watching him battle the race track as he did racing.
We had a few guys w/troubles here and there. Some physical, some mechanical but either way it was an overall Great day of Motocross racing. We pushed, each rider, each moto and that is motocross.
I want to thank everyone in their efforts from the Outlaw452/Drenaline Cycles Racing Team. jm
